It was our Hikers Junior School day out this week. We spent the day in town and visited the Margaret Mahey Playground and the Imagination Station. It was a fantastic experience to be there together as a school and the children had a fabulous time exploring, playing and encouraging each other.
Many children experienced something for the first time or tried something that they had been afraid to try before.Yavnit encouraged me to try the big silver slide. "Yes you can, Miss D!"he said. So I did!
After spending the morning at the Margaret Mahey playground our collaborative class walked down the road to visit the Imagination Station.
There was more than enough lego for everyone and the children were free to create and build from their imagination.
There was a lot of quiet sharing and working together.
The bendy bus was very exciting to ride, however, most of us had spent all our energy on having a fantastic day!
